Bringing Out The Best in Kids!

It's our motto, it's who we are and what we do. We are people who care about the Eden Prairie Community and want to make a difference in the lives of young people. Our Club conducts positive service programs for children in the Eden Prairie Community and surrounding areas. The Eden Prairie Optimist Club was chartered in August of 1978 and has continued to grow. We believe that by investing in our youth, we can ensure a better tomorrow.

Eden Prairie Optimist Club Community Service Projects:

Optimist clubs are serious about "Bringing Out the Best in Kids" and do their part through community service programs. Since our club is run by members of the Eden Prairie and neighboring communities, we have the unique flexibility to serve the youth of Eden Prairie in any way we see fit. We see needs in the Eden Prairie community and react to service it.

Classes held by Optimists teach youth responsible fire arm use and safe hunting skills.

When to Meet Us
The Optimist Club recruits members all year. We are equal opportunity to all men and woman. Eden Prairie Club members meet the second Monday of every month for meetings at the Chanhassen American Legion (view our contact page for time, directions and map link).

Where to Meet Us
The Optimists gather many other times during the year at club fundraisers, community activities, youth events and where youth optimism is needed. Check our news page for upcoming events! We hold a monthly meeting at the Chanhassen American Legion. Please see our contact page for more information.

What to Expect
Eden Prairie Club members attend monthly meetings where each meeting begins with a short invocation. After the introduction of guests time is spent on club business (finances, club activities, upcoming events, new members). Members usually enjoy a meal and short social time before a guest speaker. Guest speaker topics range from local programming, fundraising, event planning, sponsorship opportunities and more. The program ends after the speaker and concludes with the Optimist creed.

There is no obligation or pressure to join! If possible, we would appreciate hearing from you ahead of time so we can arrange to have a member greet you and act as your host.
